Mortal's Record
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
A xianxia life-sim you live one day at a time.
You are born a mortal in a world of martial sects and half-remembered immortals. Time never stops, and a life is made of small moments, hard choices, and the long road of training. You may never touch a drop of qi. A good life here can be a scholar's, a hunter's, a healer's, a fighter's, or simply a long one with people worth keeping.
What is in this version
- A living timeline: a director paces quiet moments, rumors, and real decisions. About 150 handwritten moments and growing.
- Stories: the amateur tournament (qualifiers, bracket, scouting by a sect), a coming-of-age day, a hard winter, an open road. Each is triggered by who you are, never by dice.
- Skills and martial rank: weapon skills, running that grows into qigong, and 18 martial ranks that need both technique and internal energy. Manuals multiply your progress, and a better reader gets more from them.
- A people model: everyone has a temperament and desires. They remember what you do, trade rumors, and act on their own.
- An economy: household, rent, and debt; herbs, pelts and pills you can sell, brew or use.
- Many lives: when you die, your soul remembers.
Where it is going :
A family and household with real weight, a world of places and travel, grudges and friendships that outlive a single life, a real combat system for duels and tournaments, and the first steps from mortal martial arts towards true cultivation.
